We continue to monitor the evolving coronavirus situation and are prioritizing the health and well-being of our employees, customers, and vendors. We are abiding by the guidelines set by the CDC and federal and local authorities and will adapt as changes are necessary. We also are managing our ability to remain fully operational with uninterrupted service to our customers. With regard to operations, we are focused on critical areas and have continuity plans to ensure all the resources are in place to run our facility safely, maintaining scheduled deliveries. We are working closely with our customers to determine any potential impacts or delays and are assessing the continued availability of resources and materials within our supply chain. We have the support of our large supply chain partners, Sager, Heilind, and Anixter, among others, and they are working to keep their long-term customers supplied with raw materials, so they can meet customer requirements. We are confident contingencies are in place and remain robust.
We have implemented business and personal travel guidelines (part of which suspends business travel for the foreseeable future) and a mandatory 14-day quarantine of any employee who has been in areas of concern. We have severely limited outside visitors to our facility and shared the same expectations with any visiting contracting companies and logistics providers to also mitigate the risk of spread into our operations areas.
Fourstar is taking every action possible for our employees to ensure their safety and health. We are meeting on this topic on a daily basis and reacting appropriately as we become more informed about best practices. For those who can work from home, they are doing so. We are very thankful to those who are still reporting to work in the building, for adjusting to a changing environment, and being strong in the face of uncertainty.
The following are among the aggressive measures and guidelines we’ve established within our facility:
- Set up a team of employees who vigorously clean common areas within the company on a daily basis
- Upgraded all paper towel dispensers to “no touch” machines
- Reorganized lunch times and tables to maintain a safe distance between employees
- Rearranged production seating plans to maintain a safe distance between employees
- Posted employee awareness and education materials on best practice relating to the coronavirus
Our team will continue to guide all measures necessary, with health and safety at the forefront, to navigate this unpredictable time. We are committed to providing the same exceptional support that our customers rely on and will remain operational as long as the circumstances allow. We will provide updates as necessary. Until then, we wish everyone stays safe and remains well.
