Finding a Better Way to Serve at Fourstar
Every company is driven by core beliefs. At Fourstar, we take our tagline, “Finding a Better Way,” seriously. We apply this when we are working with customers, getting them to market on time, or helping test engineers with their supply chain needs to meet tooling and test requirements. But complex box builds and electronic assembly exposures aren’t all we are focused on.
This drive to find a better way through workable solutions is also woven into our company culture with initiatives like sustainability, where we don’t differentiate between sustainability and social responsibility. Instead, we have adopted a “people-driven” business model focusing on how we impact the planet, starting with our own internal resources and workforce.
Spreading the Spirit
And that spirit spreads from there to projects and interests that are more personal in nature—outreach that goes beyond our doors and into the community. Through the years, Fourstar employees have extended themselves in ways that we are very proud of. We have a Social Give-Back Committee that is dedicated to identifying, connecting, and supporting community-specific needs. In the past, we have donated time, money, and resources to a local fundraising gala, Treasures of the Community. And we’ve walked the talk, participating in a “Lace Up 4 a Cure” walk on a chilly September day.
One charity that Fourstar participates in is hosted through the Hudson AMVETS Post 208. They run dual-holiday “Home Alone” events for Thanksgiving and Christmas, and have been doing so for 27 years. Every year, their Post officers, Sons of AmVets, and the Ladies Auxiliary—along with many volunteers—purchase, prepare, serve, and deliver holiday dinners to people who may be shut-in or to emergency responders, such as members of the police force and firefighters, who are working during the holidays, away from their families. For the past two years, Fourstar employees donated turkeys to help feed these people in need and to say thank you to those who continue to serve to protect the community. Employees added a leaf to the “Giving Tree” to symbolize their contribution to the cause. It’s a nice visual to reinforce the network of support they provide for others in the Hudson area.
Community that Cares
We love our community and are proud to be a participating member of it. We know that extending tangible goodwill strengthens and supports us all. Our wish for the New Year is that everyone is reminded that when we contribute to our greater good, as neighbors, we can all find a better way. Have a fantastic New Year!
